16:1hh homebred mare, by our resident stallion CORRAVALE and out of one of Greenvale Stud’s foundation mares BLUEGRAY SONATA, who has produced exceptional stock.
Coronata has superb conformation, with good bone and a beautiful head. She has straight, strong & elevated paces and just the kindest of temperaments. We retained her at the stud to keep her mothers bloodlines as they go back to some of the best Irish bloodlines that are now hard to find.
Her first foal is due 2017 and we are so very excited for it.

Clannad Maestro (1989) standing at 16:3hh he was a pure Irish Draught but actually had 1/8th Thoroughbred blood, which gave him that bit of quality about him. He competed Eventing, winning a few and he was 2nd in the Hunter class at Hay and Kingston and 3rd at the Midlands In Hand Sports Horse class and qualified for the Riding Club Championships as an individual as a 6 year old. Sadly his performance carerr was ended with an injury. One of his youngsters was noted as “one of the best moving Draughts she had seen” By Jennie Lorriston Clarke.
Clannad Maestro is from a rare Irish Draught line, as he was by Merry Gold who goes back to Laughton and Lahinch, grandsire of Badminton winner Haughton’s Point. On his Dam side he goes back to the very well known Prince of Shaunlara. the Grade A Jumping stallion by Amber Glen who was also by Merry Gold.
Dam of Clannad Maestro is Clanad Bess, a graded mare who produced so many champions: The biggest star of them being Polaris (Champion & famous Show Cob Ridden by Lynn Russell)
Sire of Clannad Bess was the superb life approved Irish Draught stallion ENNISKEANNE PRINCE. He was the only pure bred Irish Draught stallion listed three times in the top 20 listings with the British Horse Database and BSJA. A prolific Sire of performance horses that have inherited his outstanding movement, athletic ability and temperament. Also Sire of Milbrook Esquire (International Grade A Show Jumper), an exceptionally talented stallion who with Lynne Bevan, has achieved numerous successes. He still holds the record for the highest record N.A.S.T.A performance test 1995 earning Elite status. He has qualified for finals at Hickstead and Royal Windsor, he was also awarded the BSJA Silver stallion disc.
The dam of Enniskeanne Prince was Enniskeanne Countess, a full Irish draught mare born in 1961, who became Champion mare of 1967. She produced 2 graded stallions Enniskeanne Prince & Enniskeanne Pride (both Jumpers) but her greatest fame came through her daughter Kidalton Countess, who by building on her Dam’s strong genetic base became one of the greatest foundation mares in The Irish Draughts.
1969, Grey Irish Draught Stallion, IDHS Reg RID 636, Pride of Shaunlara was very influential on the modern day Irish Draught. He is one of the 3 common lines seen today found throughout nearly all Irish Draughts. A champion himself and Sire of many Champions including the many well know RID stallions: Pride of Toames, King Elvis, Enniskeanne Pride, Eniskeanne Prince, Finbar, Suma’s Murphy’s Law and many others.
Goes through Bluegray Sonata’s Dam BG Polyanna and the great Thoroughbred stallion Tudor Treasure, a very successful stallion who produced many exceptional progeny some of whom became successful stallions in their own right.
