GREENVALE COROMAX by CORRAVALE out of CATRINA - News in from his new owner Gemma "He had his first show a couple of weeks ago and he was fantastic. He stood in the trailer and had a good look around to see what was going on and then decided that it all looked like great fun and he was the most sensible yearling there. His first class was condition and turnout which was open to all ages and he came 6th in a class of 10 then he did the hunter and hack class (no sports horse classes) it was for 1-3 yr olds and he came 3rd out of 8 and was the highest placed yearling. |
Anyway, thanks again for such a fantastic foal who has been entirely responsible for keeping me sane throughout my pregnancy. Also my mum has always been very nervous around horses and Odins temperament and attitude is so great that she quite happily goes into the stable with him and has for the first time in her life groomed a horse!!" |
I have full 2 year brother to Greenvale Coromax for sale, Greenvale Cardinal and now full foal brother Greenvale Cordino also for sale born 02/05/10 - Email stud for details |

GREENVALE STUD & CORRAVALE HIT HEADLINES: BSJA magazine article January / February 2010 - Breeding feature on the amateur breeder: "Its evident that our elite riders and owners are passionate about the prospect of breeding a superstar but its also clear that their hopes and aspirations are shared by a bevy of amateur riders and mare owners across the country". |
Pomidoe (left) & her 3 year old daughter (right) "LUCKY FOR SOME" by CORRAVALE |
"Success came quickly for Sonia's 16:1hh KWPN mare Pompidoe (Colino x Voltaire) who produced the 2006 BEF Futurity Elite top scoring Show Jumping foal, Lucky for some (AES) with her first progeny. I spent a long time searching the internet to find a suitable match for her, said Sonia, who jumped the mare to Foxhunter level. Budget is a priority and I wanted to spend my money wisely to produce the best foal possible. Sonia's search led her to the AES licensed Holsteiner stallion CORRAVALE who stands at the GREENVALE STUD in Wales and carries the influential bloodlines of Coriano, Cor de la Bryere and Capitol. Sonia's mare produced the chestnut filly Lucky for some who went on to add the BEF Futurity National Show Jumping yearling title to her tally, scoring 9 for her athleticism. I am over the moon with Lucky for some who is now 3 years old, said Sonia". - A HUGE THANKS TO SONIA FOR HER COMMENTS - We look forward to seeing Lucky for Some out under saddle |
|

GREENVALE HINDSIGHT NEWS Further news on the adorable gelding, an email sent July 2009: " Hey Marnie, Its Cheryl with Big Al, just thought I’d update you with how he’s going. He’s amazing, he hasn’t half filled out now so he looks like a beast, a proper hunter. He’s been out every weekend since march and won so much, I can’t believe it, I have even had a show judge interested in buying him but I told him to back off, he’s going no where! |
|
Al is such a gent, he steps out of a busy class where he’s had to gallop round with a bunch of horses and when I come out I have a friend that comes and grooms for me who has a 6 year old who always wants me to get off so she can get on, she loves the attention it brings, her riding such a big horse and i’m often not holding him! My friends other 2 year old runs round, into and under him, shouting Alf’s my horse! He doesn’t bat an eye lid, just such a love. He’s qualified for loads of championships already and last weekend he qualified for Stoneleigh, in hunter and sport horse classes, I can’t wait, its at the end of july, and he’s got the uk showing finals in july, hunter and style and performance so I can’t wait. Just yet again a massive thank you for selling him to me, he’s done so much for me and really looked after me this whole time, even though he’s still like a 2 year old in the head, when my nerves are getting to me he just takes the lead and carry’s me through, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better horse! Good luck with everything, I can not wait to see what his dam’s foal is going to be like this year! Again take care and good luckLove Cheryl and Al xxx This gelding is out of one of our foundation mares Bluegray Sonata and by Time Willing, his full sister was born 22nd June this year and we are very excited for her future! |

KNIGHTSBRIDGE COURT BY DICK Z IS NOW CHAMPION UNDER SADDLE
|
To the left: KNIGHTSBRIDGE COURT (photo taken from Horse and Hound 24th July 2008). Now a 4 year old and now owned by the very successful Jayne Webber.Quote taken from Horse and Hound 30th April 2009, from the Addington festival of showing, "However Jayne was far more delighted with her new four year old, Knightsbridge Court, who won the young Hunter class and stood Champion on his first ridden appearance. "I honestly think this is one of the best horses I've ever had - and I've had some good ones over the years" she said. The gelding bred by the Fernyhough family was discovered during a chance conversation and having seen him, Jayne quickly snapped him up. He was shown in hand a few times by Steve Pitt last season and was reserve champion three year old male at the Hunter Show." Definitely one to look out for! |

ALDERFARN VII YOUNGSTER HAS YET ANOTHER FANTASTIC SHOWING SEASON - Has since Graded with CHAPS 2009 as a 3 year old - WELL DONE Email from her owner: "I just wanted to let you know that Pennbretti Diamond Dancer has done very well showing again this year. I have got 2 more shows
and then we're done thank god all this winning is hard work! her show record is quite impressive, just to give you some idea we are just home from Ponies UK where she just totally amazed me. In the Commancee she came 2nd in championship was in evening performance!!. and in the Commancee Lee Smith 1st and got the Championship which then took her in to the evening performance Champion of Champions (at this point i was crying as me and Diamond stood in the ring with 3000 people looking at us. I couldnt beleave it was us). Trotting in to the music and lights was better than winning the lottely she didnt win it but I was just happy to be there.4th in cedarwood and 2nd cedarwood lee smith, 5th in dj risely and 2nd dj risely lee smith. She won £120 which I think takes her winnings to over £300 very good for a 2 year old. We went to that show to beat our own record which we did by miles. I will now send you some pics of Madison, Alderfarn's new baby .

Pictured above and to the left as a yearling and NATIONAL championship winner! |
A TRAGIC LOSS: LEYLAH collapses and dies January 2007. our dearly loved Holsteiner, 16:1hh bay mare by LIATOS (by LANDGRAF). This mare was bred for Dressage but also had an oustanding jump. She was in foal to Corravale due in the May. We were devastated and will greatly miss this mare. She was one of the family and was very much loved. Pictured to the right with her first foal Greenvale Dynamic, who is now coming on fantastically with her owner. |

|
Imported as a 2 year old from Holland this fantastic filly was spotted for her talent and exceptional pedigree (by COME ON). She was run on for some months before being sold to her present owner Miss Cousins, who has owned her for nearly 2 years now and produced her to a wonderful standard. She recently sent us the following email as an update on her progress: |
Another Success story for GREENVALE STUD "Thought I would say hello and let you know what happened to Precious. Well I kept her as I could not part with her. I decided to pursue my dream to establish my own breeding and producing business and I now have three mares. They are all in foal including Precious and I recently graded them all with the BWBS. Precious also did the performance test and was awarded First Star award. She surprised everyone by being awarded an exceptionally rare 9 and 10 for her jumping, going over 1.50m with stacks of space. Unfortunatley she tweeked her shoulder on the last jump and went un sound for the rest of the day, (This was detrimental for her grading and ridden part of test obviously but she graded) Apparently she is being highly spoken of in the German circles so I am thrilled". And so are we, keep it up!!!! |
GA-WA-NI (MICKEY) Bought by Marnie as a foal to bring on and sell. I received the following email from his new owner what another happy story!
|
"I brought a horse off you four years ago, well i brought him off Simon and David. my friend emailed you a few weeks ago and thats who gave me the idea, i wanted to TRY and email you some photos and let you know how he is getting on!! i also wanted to thank you for selling such a fabulous horse!! he is my best friend and my baby!! he is enjoying himself at the moment because he hasnt been doing much, he has had a bad shoulder and back and we are now starting to get fit!! since i have had him he has given me so much confidence, in some of my lessons last summer we were jumping between 1.10m and 1.20m. everybody love him to pieces and i really couldnt live without him!!thank you again for selling me the best horse in the world!!!" He has also won trophies in Working Hunter classes, Novice pairs Cross Country and 2nd in the individual at Somerton, amongst many others. Thank you for the news and we look forward to hearing of more successes. |
