DICK Z himself was purchased as a 2 year old for £100,000, by C. A. M. VAN DE OETELAAR BV, the owner of the world famous Concorde & Oklund. He was then produced as a 4 year old and was competing very successfully, until a tragic accident ended his competitive life. He then retired to Stud in Holland, before being imported to the UK to stand with us here at Greenvale Stud. DICK Z was imported into the UK in 2004. He is an amazingly handsome horse with a great personality, temperament and is highly intelligent. Full sister to DICK Z is currently competing and winning on the international circuit too. His natural ability over a fence is outstanding with a back leg action that leaves you in awe, this seems to be inherited by all his progeny. The Anglo European Studbook stallion DICK Z was bred at Paul Schokemohle’s world famous
stud. He is a product of the Hanoverian sire DROSSAN. This son of
DROSSELKLANG II is a highly promising sire because of his large number
of talented offspring in German Show jumping. |

At the Verden stallion
licensing in 1986 DROSSELKLANG II finished in first place in the jumping
with a jumping index of 141.54. He is one of the last sons of DON
CARLOS in the Hanoverian breed, who himself was one of the most successful
of Hanoverian jumping horses after World War II, producing over 283
principal studbook mares, of whom 43 went on to become states premium
mares, 24 approved stallion sons and 467 competition horses who won
close to DM1,300,000 in prize money. DROSSELKLANG II (Pictured below) was one of his
most famous sons and at the 2001 stallion licensing in Verden he was
declared the Hanoverian stallion of the year. He is sire of three
licensed sons; DAGOMBA, DON PAPAS and DROSSAN. The Don Carlos group from the famous Hanoverian "D- line" is remarkable because you find horses of good "modern type " conformation, from very old Hanoverian bloodlines with hardly any Thoroughbred influence. |

DICK
Z is out of the mare QUICK ROXANNE (now retired to stud with us here, and pictured to the left), she has competed 1:30's
and 1:40's in the US and in Europe and had scope to burn, says her previous owner.
She is daughter of the world famous QUICK STAR, who needs
little introduction. This miraculous jumping stallion belongs amongst
the most legendary sires of the 90’s. Under his rider Meredith Michaels,
QUICK STAR accumulated an impressive track record in International
Show jumping., earning en amazing 375,000,000 Euros. He is the son
of two international Show jumpers GALOUBET A and STELLA. |

day Show jumper horse breeding, QUICK STAR is considered to be one
of the best progenitors, being recognized by 21 stud books. He is
the sire of the record breaking PSI horse fetching 8,5000,000 French

producing some of the current international winners that shine in
show jumping circuits all over the world, notably: SPHRELLA STELLA,
the CSIO internationally winning mare; QUILOT Z, QUIKSY, QUICK SILVER

VOLKERT (Dick Z x Lord Z) Is now competing at 1.35mtr in Spain and with great success - I have just had an email in from his owner, "I am Sofia Zambrano, from Spain and my husband, Curro Goyoaga bought me Volkert in Holand one year ago. I am the happiest woman in the world. He is a really good horse and has an incredible heart, always does clear round. The last video I put on youtube was his first 1,35mtr and did also clear round. "He was 2nd in Cavan at his first 1.20 & 3rd at the end of last year in his first 1.30m. Our son is on transition year from school and based with Shane Breen in Hicksted and took Master with him to Lummen in belgium where he jumped his first 1.35 & 1.40m. He performed so well there, he is in Wales & west this weekend in the Big tour for junior riders. He was joint 4th in the Junior european trials yesterday and jumping The Grand Prix on monday. You have a super stallion and I hope he is getting the regognition he deserves.

Mare by DICK Z produces top Showjumping prospect Brandon is being produced by Carron Nicol and for sale for an excess of 50k 16.1hh stallion 3yrs by Verdi ex Dick Z. His breeding and jump speak for themselves. Verdi has just become Dutch champion of the 7year olds in Holland and with his scope and technique he looks as if he will follow in his fathers footsteps. He has successfully covered two mares this season. |

Now a 4 year old and now owned by the very successful Jayne Webber.Quote taken from Horse and Hound 30th April 2009, from the Addington festival of showing, "However Jayne was far more delighted with her new four year old, Knightsbridge Court, who won the young Hunter class and stood Champion on his first ridden appearance. "I honestly think this is one of the best horses I've ever had - and I've had some good ones over the years" she said. The gelding bred by the Fernyhough family was discovered during a chance conversation and having seen him, Jayne quickly snapped him up. He was shown in hand a few times by Steve Pitt last season and was reserve champion three year old male at the Hunter Show." Definitely one to look out for! |

" Just an update on Uno. He's had 12 months off due to me being pregnant. He has now been placed with a Grand prix dressage rider for some schooling, who quoted today "If we can't get this horse to Grand Prix we may as well all give up". Bred by Marnie at Greenvale stud and sold as a foal, Same home since then. A very reluctnat and sad sale due to owner injury following an accident last year. Delight is about 17hh now and 4. She was broken last year and turned away. She was brought back into work this year and is going very sweetly. She is fantastic to ride and really can move. Potential for all disciplines. She is just starting to be schooled. Super friendly as a foal and still very friendly. Excellent in traffic. The judge at Carmarthen County Show last year said she was one of the nicest fillies he had seen in a long time. She is easy to catch and good in the stable. A real genuine youngster. She loves human company and every one loves her.
